Terms of use

• You must be at least 18 to create an account.
• You sign up with an account from a sign-in provider (currently Google). You are responsible for what happens with your account: keep access to the provider secure.
• The app also works without an account for a local club, which stays only on your device.

• Owner: whoever creates the club. Manages access, roles and credits and is accountable for how the club uses the service.
• Staff: records games and manages roster, players and schedule; can invite Viewers.
• Viewer: reads statistics and the roster without changing them.

The Owner chooses whom to invite and with which role, and can remove members at any time.

The data a club enters (players, games, photos, notes) remains the club’s. The club allows us to store, process and show it to its members and, when it decides so, through public box score links, only to provide the service.

You may not enter unlawful or offensive content or content that infringes others’ rights, nor use Basket Recorder Pro for purposes other than running the club’s sport activity.

For the personal data a club enters, the club is the controller and Basket Recorder Pro the processor on its behalf (Art. 28 GDPR). By accepting these terms the Owner, on behalf of the club, and Basket Recorder Pro agree that:

• Basket Recorder Pro processes the data only to provide the service to the club, following the instructions the club gives by using the service’s features;
• anyone processing data for Basket Recorder Pro is bound to confidentiality, and Basket Recorder Pro applies appropriate security measures;
• the club authorises the sub-processors listed in the Privacy policy; before adding or replacing one Basket Recorder Pro updates the list and emails the Owner at least 15 days in advance, and the club may object by asking for the club to be closed;
• Basket Recorder Pro helps the club answer data subjects’ requests and notifies it without undue delay of a personal data breach;
• when the Owner asks support to close the club, Basket Recorder Pro deletes the club’s data within 30 days, except what the law requires to keep, and on request provides the information needed to demonstrate compliance with these obligations;
• the club warrants that it has a legal basis for the data it enters and has informed players and parents, collecting parental consent for photos of minors.

• Starting to record a game requires at least one club credit; the credit is used when the game starts.
• A started game is not refunded, even if you delete it later.
• Credits belong to the club you buy them for, do not expire, cannot be exchanged for money and cannot be moved to other clubs. When you move a local club to the cloud, its credits move with it.
• Free welcome credits may be offered, on the conditions shown in the app.
• Purchases go through the App Store or Google Play, under their terms. Refund requests for a purchase go to Apple or Google, under their rules.
• A refund granted by the store does not change the club’s credit balance or the games already recorded.

Owners and Staff can make a game’s box score public with a link. Whoever creates it decides whom to send it to and can turn it off at any time.

We do our best to keep Basket Recorder Pro running without interruptions or data loss, but cannot guarantee it. A local club’s data and games not yet synced are only on your device: if you lose it or uninstall the app they may be lost. We may change or improve the service’s features; for significant changes we let you know in advance.

To the extent permitted by law, Basket Recorder Pro is not liable for indirect damages or for how clubs use the data they enter. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law grants consumers, or liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

We may suspend an account that breaches these terms, notifying you where possible. You can stop using Basket Recorder Pro at any time and delete your account from the Account page, or by writing to [email protected]. If you own a club with other members, we first help you decide whether to close the club or hand it to another member.

If we change these terms we update the date at the top and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept them.

These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, disputes fall under the court of the place where you live. For any question write to [email protected].
